Residents at The Gardens at Easton are volunteering to make their home a friendlier place. Nine residents serve as greeters, asking guests to sign in and offering beverages, brochures of the facility, newspapers, and magazines. Other volunteering opportunities include sorting and delivering mail, working in the clothing store, folding linens and towels, and helping out in the garden. This innovative program has sparked a lot of pride in the residents, and they treat it like a regular job! At the same time, it helps diminish challenging behaviors and promotes productivity.
